We have collected information on grants to fund assistive technology (AT) offered by charitable organization into three categories:

Zetosch Fund for Children

The Sidney and Lillian Zetosch Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation was created in 1976 to provide money to support the purchase of educational equipment for Oregon children with disabilities living in low-income households. 

The AT Lab, UCP Oregon, and OHSU all administer Zetosch funds for educational AT equipment:

  • Exception: MacBook Air laptops and software for children over 12 for whom a tablet does not meet educational need

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 0–20 years old
  • Disability
  • Describe financial need and income
  • Insurance denial if you have one

What is covered:

  • Medical and adaptive equipment
  • Therapy services
  • No deductibles or copays
  • No iPads, iPhones, computers, tandem bikes, hippotherapy, or vehicle or home modifications

Region/state: California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington

  • Complex communication disorder (need AAC)
  • Proof of income
